Bank of Maharashtra is inviting applications for the post of Customer Service Associate (Secretary) under its recruitment drive 2024. Interested sportswomen can submit their applications offline from June 20, 2024 to June 8. July 2024.

The objective of the recruitment is to encourage the active participation of athletes in interbank, state, national and international tournaments.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification

  • The minimum requirement is a 10th pass or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
  • Candidates must commit to acquiring a Graduate Degree or equivalent qualification within 5 years following the end of their active sporting phase.

Sports qualification

  • Applicants must have represented a state or country in national or international competitions.
  • Alternatively, they should have won medals at the Junior National Championships or the Khelo India Youth Games (18+), among other recognized events.
  • It also qualifies participation in competitions at the district, university or school level.

Age limit

  • Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age on the specified deadline.

Nationality and Citizenship

  • Applicants must be citizens of India or:

    • A subject from Nepal or Bhutan.
    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of settling permanently.
    • A person of Indian origin who emigrated from specific countries with the intention of settling permanently in India.

Probation period and bail details

Trial period:

Selected candidates will undergo a probationary period of 6 months from the date of joining the bank.

Service bonus:

Candidates must present a service bond committing to 10 years of active sports participation with the bank. The deposit may be extended at the discretion of the bank. If a candidate resigns before the expiry of the bail period, he will have to pay a bail bond of Rs. 50,000 and may lose hiring benefits.

Selection process

Phase 1: Proficiency Test

  • A preliminary evaluation of applications will be carried out based on the candidates’ mastery in their respective sports disciplines.
  • Mastery will be evaluated based on participation and achievements in recognized tournaments and events over the previous three years.
  • Weighting will be assigned based on the level of tournaments you participate in, such as international, national, state, and university levels.

Phase 2: Field tests

  • Shortlisted candidates from the proficiency test will undergo field tests to further evaluate their skills and abilities in their respective sports.
  • The field tests will have the same weight as the competency test in the final selection process.
  • Candidates must obtain a minimum qualifying score on the field tests to be considered for final selection.

Final selection

  • Final selection will be based on the combined scores from the proficiency test and field tests.
  • In the event of a tie, preference will be given based on specific criteria, including international representation, national championships and other sporting achievements.
  • Selected candidates will undergo mandatory doping testing as part of the final selection process.
