Fallout 76: A Guide To Daily Ops
Daily Ops are a great way to farm XP and collect rare crafting plans. This guide details everything you need to know about Daily Ops in Fallout 76.
The majority of Fallout 76 players enjoy completing Daily Operations in areas that are easy to navigate. While some enjoy the challenge of the more complex locations, most players agree when it comes to which location sits at the bottom of the list.
15
The Burrows
A Nightmarish Maze
Most players dread seeing the Burrows pop up as the day’s Daily Ops location. This underground labyrinth is difficult to navigate. Even veteran players have issues making their way around the area. Since Daily Ops are timed missions, every second counts. So, if the player keeps getting lost, then their chances of getting the best rewards are quickly reduced.
The Burrows are particularly annoying during Double Mutation Weekends, as the enemies are twice as hard to kill. This is made even worse during Decryption missions as players will need to split up and hunt down dangerous enemies that are spread throughout the tunnels.
14
The Burning Mine
Another Underground Maze
Similar to the Burrows, the Burning Mine is a tricky place to navigate. It is very easy to get lost while trying to complete a Daily Operation. The enemies are spread throughout the whole mine. There are also lots of small fires that will hurt the player should they get too close.
Should the player die during a Daily Op in the Burning Mine, then there’s a good chance that they will respawn in a very inconvenient location that will require them to move fast to get back to where the action is.
13
Arktos Pharma Biome Labs
Confusing For Newer Players
While it is much easier to navigate than the previous entries, Arktos Pharma Biome Labs can still be a rather confusing place to conquer. The facility covers a pretty large area and large portions of the interior look fairly similar, which can make things tricky for newer players who are trying to find their way around.
During Uplink missions, players will have very little cover when calibrating an Uplink. The difficulty is amplified during missions that contain explosive enemies, as there aren’t a lot of good places for players to hide to avoid enemy blasts.
12
The Foundry
Leave Appalachia And Take On The Enemies In The Pitt
The Foundry is a confusing location to navigate, especially for players who haven’t completed many expeditions in The Pitt. There are lots of places where enemies can hide. Some of those areas can be hard to access without a jet pack or the marsupial mutation. A lot of the interior looks pretty similar, so it’s very easy for players to lose their bearings while trying to complete a Daily Operation in the Foundry.

There are several benefits to crafting the Foundry Smelter in Fallout 76. Here’s how to get the Foundry Smelter plan.
While the location may not be ideal, the introduction of the Foundry also brought in the Foundry Smelter as a possible Daily Ops reward. This is one of the better Daily Ops rewards to grind for, especially for players who run with a bloodied build.
11
Garrahan Mining Headquarters
Enemies Come From All Directions
Most tanky players will have no issues completing Daily Operations within the Garrahan Mining Headquarters. However, bloodied and low-level players may struggle. Enemies shoot out from all directions. While this is true for all Daily Ops locations, the enemy spawn locations for the Garrahan Mining Headquarters just feels more chaotic than most of the other locations.
This is especially true for Uplink missions. One section will require players to head into the center of an interior parking garage. This is a small area with very little cover. Enemies spawn in from all corners of the parking garage, which can make it difficult to hold the area.
10
Vault 96
A Messy Vault
Vault 96, like most other Vaults in the Fallout franchise, has seen its fair share of barbaric experiments. The whole Vault is in a state of disarray, with collapsing walls and blocked-off passageways that can make navigating the area rather difficult.
It is also a fairly big area with very few good vantage points. Since it’s a vault, every room looks fairly similar, which can make it a little disorientating when traveling from one area to another quickly. There are lots of sharp corners in Vault 96. So, players may accidentally run around a corner only to be caught off-guard by a handful of enemies.
9
Uncanny Caverns
A System Of Caves
Uncanny Caverns isn’t as bad as it seems at first glance. While there are lots of small tunnels that take players down into various parts of the cave, after a few minutes, it’s pretty easy for the player to make their way around without getting too lost. Even if the player does lose their way, most of the smaller tunnels connect up to the main mission areas, so it won’t be hard to get things back on track.

There are several underrated events in Fallout 76 that players shouldn’t ignore.
Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of structures in Uncanny Caverns that players can hide behind, so players should bring plenty of Stimpaks, especially if they run with a bloodied build.
8
Morgantown High School
Saved By A Sports Hall
Morgantown High School isn’t the easiest place to navigate. It has plenty of blocked paths, broken floors, and tight corners that could cause players to get ambushed by enemies. However, despite all of this, it has one saving grace; the sports hall. The sports hall is a big open room that is perfect for picking off enemies.
Since the sports hall is one of the Uplink locations, completing Uplink Daily Operations here is pretty easy. That said, it’s not so great when enemies have mutations like toxic blood, as there are lots of small confined areas where players may find themselves getting trapped.
7
Watoga High School
Cranberry Bog’s Premier High School
Watoga High School isn’t as big as it looks from the outside. While players will need to cover a fairly large area to complete a Daily Operation in under 8 minutes, it usually isn’t that difficult. The only real challenge comes during Uplink missions on Double Mutation Weekends. One of the Uplink spots is located on the school’s stage. This leaves players pretty exposed to enemy attacks while they wait for the Uplink to calibrate.
The open cafeteria and large hallways make Watoga High School perfect for Decryption missions, as players will be able to see enemies coming from pretty far away.
6
Vault 94
A Surprisingly Easy Layout
Vault 94 isn’t as confusing as many other Vaults within the Fallout franchise. It has a fairly open layout with a large central area that gives players great visibility. This makes things easier during Decryption missions as it is pretty easy to spot enemies. As for Uplink missions, the two Uplink areas have a couple of areas where the player can crouch down and shoot enemies from behind cover.
While it probably won’t be anybody’s favorite Daily Ops location, it is possible for a player to single-handedly reach the rank of Elder without any support from teammates. That said, it is considerably easier when done as part of a team.
5
Aquarium Of The Atlantic
Atlantic City’s Daily Ops Map
The Aquarium Of The Atlantic is one of the newer Daily Ops locations. This Atlantic City area is pretty easy to navigate. Not only that, but the way that the missions are structured allows players to move from one side of the area to the other to complete the operation. With some of the locations mentioned above, players will need to run back and forth throughout the location during a Daily Operation. There isn’t a lot of need for that in this area, especially during Uplink missions.
With a good team, players will have no issues completing a Daily Operation in the Aquarium Of The Atlantic in less than 8 minutes, even during Double Mutation Weekends.
4
Charleston Capitol Building
An Easy Location To Navigate
The Charleston Capitol Building is a familiar place for most players. Those who have gone through the pain of completing Recruitment Blues will know this place all too well. It does cover quite a large area, but it is fairly straightforward when it comes to getting from one end to the other. The large hallways can be quite handy for taking down enemies before they get too close.
While players may occasionally head down a dead end, for the most part, they should have no issues completing Daily Operations in this area.
3
West Tek Research Center
An XP Grinder’s Paradise
The West Tek Research Center is a well-known place for grinding XP. Due to how many players regularly clear out the West Tek facility, countless veterans could run through the entire building blindfolded! While it is a fairly large building with plenty of places where enemies can hide, due to the sheer number of players who know the place inside and out, it doesn’t take long for most players to take down all the enemies that lurk within.
This place is really great for Uplink missions. While the Uplink locations are relatively out in the open, a couple of good players will have no issues covering all entrances while the Uplink is being calibrated.
2
Watoga Civic Center
A Raider’s Arena
The Watoga Civic Center was turned into a makeshift arena where some unruly raiders hold regular fights. When this place pops up as the day’s Daily Ops location, many players who would not typically take part in Daily Ops start up a team and dive in. The arena has plenty of open space, and while it does span over multiple levels, players can move around the area with relative ease.
This location is great for both Decryption and Uplink missions. There aren’t all that many places for enemies to hide, so it’s possible for players to use V.A.T.S. and take down enemies easily, as the whole place is pretty open, allowing players to see enemies from quite some distance. As for the Uplink locations, they can be defended pretty easily by just one or two players as they aren’t out in the open like they are in places like the Burrows.
1
Valley Galleria
Offers A Great Line Of Sight To The Player
Valley Galleria takes the top spot for Daily Ops locations. While the area is relatively large, it is a very open area. Since its second floor is open, the player can see enemies both on the first floor and the second floor. This area is particularly good during Uplink Daily Operations, as players can see enemies from a distance.
A team of decent players can clear a Daily Operation within the Valley Galleria in just a few minutes. Due to how much ammo the player gets for completing a Daily Operation, during days when the mission takes place inside Valley Galleria, it may be worth doing the mission a couple of times to stock up on ammo and basic supplies.
