This furry beast won’t go down without a fight!
However, if you go prepared and learn his moveset, it won’t be long before you defeat Guangmou and are one step closer to reviving the Monkey King. Here’s how to take down this snake charmer.
Where is Guangmou in the black myth: Wukong?
Guangmou is located in Bamboo Grove. you will need to travel from Back Hills to the Snake Trail checkpoint. Next, you’ll need to complete the boss run to Guangmou.
As far as boss races go, this one isn’t all that grueling. You’ll have to face a couple of Poison Lizard enemies and some skeleton lizards. but these can be largely avoided if you want to go straight for the boss..
Going through the open forest area, you will find a ladder on the right that will take you to the Guangmou arena, and the fight will begin when you enter.
How to prepare for Guangmou
Aside from what you will have already done to prepare for the fight against Lingxuzi, there are not many additional precautions you can take before the fight against Guangmou.
But in case you haven’t upgraded your equipment and skills ahead of time, here’s what I would suggest prioritizing for this fight:
-
Craft the Pilgrim Armor Set at a Checkpoint Shrine.
-
Consider awakening sparks that increase your stamina.
-
Consider increasing your engagement distance
-
Consider increasing the damage and duration of your immobilization spell.
How to beat Guangmou
As we mentioned, Guangmou is a very different prospect compared to Lingxuzi and any other enemy you’ve faced so far. as they do not rely on physical attacks to deal most of their damage.
The battle will begin with Guangmou. launching a blue fireball attackwhich you can avoid by dodging towards them to sneak under the projectiles, which will also allow you to land some early hits.
After this, it’s best to use your immobilization spell and get in some extra hits, and if you do this opening period right, you should reduce his health by 25% in a matter of seconds.
At this point, Guangmou will probably use the ace up his sleeve and summons his army of snakes. These will rise from the ground and fire poisonous projectiles that deal damage on impact and increase their poison status.

Sometimes the boss battle isn’t what we fear most
While there is a temptation to attack Guangmou during this period, it is best to isolate yourself from him and spam dodge to evade the flurry of projectiles. He tries to keep his eyes on as many snakes as possible at once and dodge the poison attacks.
This is easily the most dangerous attack in Guangmou’s arsenal, but they have other dangerous moves as well. For example, its blade attack launches a blue projectile that follows the player and expels a flurry of blades. This is easily avoided by staying moving while active.
So Guangmou also has access to a poison breath attack, which can quickly cause a buildup of poison if you are directly in front of him. However, if you stand behind them while they use this move, you will be safe from damage and can counterattack in relative safety.
This is all Guangmou really has in his locker and he will perform these moves until you defeat him. The only other additional advice he would offer is Try to stay on the offensive during this fight as long as the snakes are not in play.since Guangmou will teleport frequently and are more dangerous at a distance, so be sure to close the gap.
Rewards for defeating Guangmou
If you manage to defeat Guangmou, you will receive the following rewards for your efforts:
-
521x Will
-
2x thread
-
Blood of the Iron Bull
-
Guangmou (Spirit)
The most prominent reward among these items. is the new ability to channel the Spirit of Guangmouwhich will allow players to summon an army of snakes to launch poison attacks on the fies, just like Guangmou did to you.
After defeating Guangmou, players can climb the hill, ring the bell, and continue to their next destination in Black Myth: WukongThe swamp of white fog.
