Dying Light 2 releases new update for August 2024

Update 1.18 for dying light 2Also known as the Community QoL Update, it has just been released and adds a number of bug fixes and changes to the game. Before this latest version, the last major update for dying light 2Update 1.17, was released at the end of June.

dying light 2 is the sequel to Techland’s popular 2015 survival horror experience, and is considered by some to be one of the best open-world zombie games ever made. Since its launch in February 2022, dying light 2 has received a constant stream of updates and patches, as well as story DLC in the form of bloody ties. A new update for the game was recently released that brings many improvements to the title.

The 1.18 update for dying light 2which launched on August 20, fixed a long list of bugs, including one that prevented players from connecting with others in Quick Join. It also addressed an issue that prevented people from being able to finish some missions under certain conditions in co-op play. This last problem sometimes manifests itself during dying light 2The endgame epilogue arc, according to the patch notes. Techland said that some of the changes implemented in the latest update were community-driven, such as the move to make gear pieces in addition to Premium items droppable. The studio also told fans that they were hard at work developing the Tower Raid mode for dying light 2 which is currently in beta.

Update 1.18 was released just as Techland announced a new indie game titled Dying Light: The Beast at Gamescom 2024. the beast will mark the return of dying light protagonist Kyle Crane, and will be offered to owners of the Ultimate Edition of dying light 2 at no additional cost when available.

A release date has yet to be announced for this standalone zombie apocalypse experience, but Techland revealed that it was nearing the end of development. the beast and would share launch details as soon as possible. While the studio noted that it currently has no plans for any new DLC, it assured fans that it was committed to providing updates for dying light 2 in the five years after the game’s release.

In early 2023, Techland revealed that the dying light The series had already sold 30 million copies worldwide. dying light 2The predecessor enjoyed a massive increase in player numbers in May thanks to a generous 85% discount that dropped the game’s price to just $2.99.

• Fixed issue that sometimes prevented players from joining each other using Quick Join.

• Fixed issue where players could not finish some missions under certain conditions in co-op, for example during the epilogue.

Gameplay

• Equipment pieces can now be dropped (aside from some Premium items)

• While playing in Nightmare mode, you will be able to see the immunity bar using the extended HUD button

• Fixed issue where Volatiles would sometimes spawn in different locations at night during various missions, making it almost impossible to finish them.

• Fixed issue where a GRE’s HP would reset when the player was too far away from it during the mission.

• Fixed issue where ‘Bloody Ties’ DLC is not detected and DLC items are removed from the player if the user starts the game via ‘Start Activity’ on PS5.

Atmosphere

• Fixed issue with red chests sometimes cutting into terrain, making them nearly impossible to loot.

• Fixed duplicate assets at the Saint Paul Island crossing.

• Fixed rain sometimes appearing inside various interiors.

Technical

• Fixed issue with some textures overlapping open chests in Survivor Missions.
