Applications are invited from Indian citizens for various posts/trades on a fixed term contract for a period of 3 years, with possibility of extension for additional 1 year + 1 year. Essential requirements to qualify

  • Air Conditioning Refrigeration Mechanic (Gr-I Qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • Crusher Crusher (Gr. I qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate and 1 year of shipbuilding experience.
  • Compressor Assistant (Gr-I qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Mill Mechanic or Machine Tool Maintenance and 1 year of shipbuilding experience.
  • Diesel Engine Mechanic Cum (Gr-i Qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Motor Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic.
  • Driver (Gr-I Qualified): SSC with National Apprenticeship Certificate in Driver cum Fitter, or equivalent military service, with valid light and heavy duty driving license.
  • Electric Crane Operator (Gr. I Qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in the Electrician Trade and 1 year of shipbuilding experience.
  • Electrician (Gr. I qualified): National certificate of apprenticeship in the electrician trade and 1 year of experience in shipbuilding.
  • Electronic Mechanic (Gr. I qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Electronic Mechanic and 1 year of shipbuilding experience.
  • Fitter (Gr. I qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Fitter or related trade, or 1 year shipbuilding experience.
  • Hindi Translator (Gr-I Rated): Postgraduate in Hindi or English with one year of translation experience and computer skills.
  • Junior Draftsman (Mechanical) (Gr-I Skill): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Draftsman (Mechanical).
  • Junior QC Inspector (Mechanical) (Gr – I qualified): Full-time Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Junior Quality Assurance Inspector (Electrical) (Gr – I qualified): Diploma or full-time degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Junior Planning Estimator (Civil) (Graded Gr-I): Diploma or full-time degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Millwright Mechanic (Gr. I qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Millwright Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Painter (Qualified Gr – I): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Painter and 1 year of experience in shipbuilding.
  • Pipefitter (Gr. I qualified): National Apprenticeship Certificate in Pipefitter or related trade, and 1 year shipbuilding experience.
  • Rigger (Gr. I qualified): National Rigger Apprenticeship Certificate; if not available, SSC with NAC Fitter as Trainee Rigger.
  • Shop Manager (Gr. I Qualified): Diploma or full-time degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics or related fields. Additional qualifications in materials management preferred.
  • Structural Fabricator (Gr. I Qualified): National Certificate of Apprenticeship in Structural Fabricator or Related Trade, or 1 year shipbuilding experience.
  • Firefighter (Semi-Qualified-I): SSC with Fire Fighting Diploma (6 months) and valid Heavy Vehicle License.
  • Candle Maker (Semi-Qualified-I): ITI/NAC in Cutting and Tailoring or related fields.
  • Security Sepoy (Semi-Qualified-I): SSC or equivalent with military service of at least 15 years. Security experience and commercial driver’s license preferred.
  • Utility Hand (Semi-Qualified) (Semi-Qualified-I): National Apprenticeship Certificate and 1 year of shipbuilding experience.
  • Master 1st Class (Special Grade): Master 1st Class Certificate, 3 years of Tugboat operating experience or ex-military with equivalent certification.

Perk

Selected candidates will be offered the following salary scales:

  • Special Degree (IDA-IX): INR 22,000 – INR 83,180
  • Qualified Grade I (IDA-V): INR 17,000 – INR 64,360
  • Semi-skilled Grade I (IDA-II): INR 13,200 – INR 49,910

In addition to the basic salary, employees will receive industrial DA, HRA, CPF and other allowances as per company rules. Annual increases will be granted in accordance with company policy.

Candidates will be covered under the ESIC Act for medical benefits. If they are exempt from ESIS coverage due to higher wages, they will be included in the company’s health benefits plan for themselves and their eligible family members.

age limit

The maximum age limit is 38 years and the minimum age limit should not be less than 18 years as on September 1, 2024. The maximum age limit is 48 years for Master Ist Class trading. The relaxation in the upper age limit is 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer certificate) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates as per the rules.

Relaxation of upper age limit for persons with disabilities (40% and above): 10 years for general candidates, 13 years for OBC candidates and 15 years for SC/ST candidates as per the Government. Standards.

Selection process

to. Written Test: Candidates will be invited to take a written test based on the details provided in their online application. A detailed verification of documents will be done during the trade/skills test for the shortlisted candidates.

b. Trades/skills test: Candidates will be called for the trades/skills test based on their performance in the written test and applicable experience qualifications. The list of candidates will be:

  • 1:3 if vacancies exceed 100
  • 1:4 if vacancies are between 50 and 100
  • 1:5 if vacancies are less than 50

do. Final Merit List: The final merit list will be based on the combined scores of the online written test and experience marks (if applicable). The trades/skills test will be qualifying in nature only.

d. Tiebreaker Criteria: In case of a tie in the final merit list:

  • Candidates with higher experience scores will rank higher.
  • Older candidates (by date/month/year of birth) will be ranked higher.

my. Possible changes: Management may choose to skip the written test and select candidates based solely on experience and trade/skill test, depending on the number of applicants.

F. Waiting List: A waiting list may be created depending on the number of selected candidates. This list will be used if any candidate resigns, dies, refuses to join or is declared medically unfit. The waiting list will be valid for one year from the date of approval.

gram. Waiting List Exhaustion: If the waiting list is exhausted, candidates may be selected from the remaining candidates who meet the qualifying qualifications, based on merit.
