While Rain risk 2 Storm Seekers The update certainly has a long list of issues to address, the DLC adds a lot of new content to the game. And among all that content, there are quite a few changes that are intentional or even unintentional changes in quality of life. These items, settings, options, and changes work together to help make the most difficult parts of Rain risk 2 much less, well, rough.
Of course, the amount of quality of life changes or whether these are actually considered “quality of life” changes obviously depends on the individual player. Artificer’s scroll lever, for example, won’t really matter to someone who never uses that character, and some Artificer players may not even touch the option. Still, these are the additions, changes and modifications that we feel absolutely improve the quality of life functionality of Risk of rain 2.

Umbrella options
A whole host of individually surprising new options
Firstly, let’s say that the full list of options in the ‘General Features’ section of the options menu is universally amazing. To review each one in more depth individually:
- Difficulty bar effects: Makes it much easier to notice when the difficulty slider moves to the next section (aka Easy to Medium, Medium to Hard, etc.) with the new audio cue.
- Directional damage indicator scale: While the default damage gauges have been tweaked and need to be fixed, the directional damage gauges (once they work properly) will be a huge help in chaotic moments during a race.
- Inventory Toggle: It’s not an option that a lot of people will opt for by default, but it certainly makes checking inventory while moving easier.
- Enable indicator when discovering teleporter: Helpful option that makes it much easier for a group of players to gather at the teleporter or at least know where it is at all times.
- Enable teleporter particle scaling: Immensely useful for finding the teleporter on the map, it makes the red particles floating around the teleporter much easier to see.
There are a couple of general features that aren’t mentioned here, but that’s only because we’ll discuss them in more depth later in this list.

Toggle with cursor for Artificer
Still a little awkward to use, but incredibly useful nonetheless
The Toggle Artificer Hover option is by far one of the best quality of life additions to Rain risk 2 since the game came out. Anyone who’s spent much time with Artificer can attest that, at least on PC, constantly floating and maneuvering in the air takes a real toll on the player’s wrists and/or fingers. It’s a lot of fiddling with the space bar while you move, aim, use abilities, look around with the camera, and more.

Chance Doll encourages more gambling
Sanctuaries of chance are no longer as big as money sinks
The next inclusion is a bit strange and probably not something anyone would consider a “quality of life” change, but the new Chance Doll item does a lot of work to make Chance Shrines feel more valuable to use. Risk of rain 2.
Previously, these Shrines were almost always seen as the butt of a joke, with players investing all their money into them and receiving almost no items in return, which can be especially difficult in a multiplayer game. But with Chance Doll, Chance Shrines are almost too strong now, which also works as an unintentional buff for Captain Survivor due to his Beacon that can make Chance Shrines free.

Branching paths help races feel less repetitive
Path of the Colossus and Helmith Hatchery add much-needed variety
The more variation there is in how a player can go through a streak of Rain risk 2better. Before the Storm Seekers Update, players have 4 ‘endings’ they seek with their career, besides dying of course:

Use the Primordial Teleporter to go to the Moon, defeat Mithrix, and escape before the Void swallows the Moon.

Head to the Void Locus and defeat the Voidling to finish the race.

Loop around and head to the Celestial Portal in Stage 9+ to destroy the Obelisk.

Loop around and head to the portal next to the Obelisk in ‘A Moment, Fractured’ to fight the Twisted Scavenger in ‘A Moment, Whole’.
But now, with the Storm Seekers Update, players have the entire Path of the Colossus to travel, culminating in the fight against the False Son on the Prime Meridian map. And to make things even better, players can also enter and exit this path as they wish, as they can use a Halcyon Shrine, the Lunar Seer, or even the Green Portals that are sometimes found after defeating Aurelionite in the Gold Coast to get Return to the Path of the Colossus after getting off it.

Blind Pests and Nerf Brass Gadget
It wasn’t exactly necessary, but we’ll still accept it
The next change is a bit polarizing, as many of the Rain risk 2 The player base feels this was unnecessary. However, who cares? The Blind Pests were some of the least fun enemies to deal with in the game, so now that they fail more frequently (especially when off-screen), the game is more fun overall.
Yes, with practice and understanding it becomes easy to consistently avoid his projectiles (and it’s even easier to avoid Brass Contraption’s spike balls), but just because it can be done doesn’t mean it needs to be done. With this change, certain characters are more fun to play overall, and it certainly helps make learning new close-range characters like Chef easier as well.
Finally, some detailed information halfway
The ability to see detailed stats for in-game items is a real blessing. Although each element in Rain risk 2 generally describes its effect when picked up, most descriptions don’t delve into the numbers or specify how additional stacks of this item scale.
This often meant that players had to memorize detailed information for over 50 items while playing if they wanted to keep track of their builds or which items would be best for other Survivors in this game, or they had to use an external. resource to have this information at hand. Now, whether using the Inspect function or hovering over any item in the Scrapper menu, this information is finally available mid-run.

Drizzle Difficulty Tutorials
A fantastic addition for new players
The latter is a quality of life addition that many veterans Rain risk 2 Players probably don’t even know the tutorials. Players now have the option to enable tutorials on Drizzle difficulty, ultimately making it a useful tool for introducing new players to the game. Previously, even in Drizzle, new players were sort of “thrown to the wolves” when it came to the comprehensive gameplay mechanics. Risk of rain 2.
