Bastila is unique because she knows the Force power called battle meditation, a force technique that can change the tide of battle, influencing naval combat.

Appreciated by Malak for his skill, the Sith Lord effortlessly pursues Bastila across the galaxy and eventually captures her. Revan must confront Bastila after her capture, fighting the Jedi after she falls to the Dark Side as Darth Malak’s apprentice. Bastila later marries Revan and has a son with the former Sith Lord.

Vandar Tokare was a Jedi Master who led the Dantooine Jedi Council. Vandar, an elite Jedi, is a member of Yoda’s species, with the distinctive green features that characterize his race. The little green Jedi has a prominent role in the story of KOTOR.

While Vandar is not as well known as Yoda, he is just as powerful, training numerous Jedi and leading battalions in battles such as the Mandalorian Wars. Vandar Tokare is also one of the main architects behind the mental cleansing of the Sith Lord Revan and turning him to the Light Side as a Jedi.

Another powerful member of the Dantooine Jedi Council, Vrook Lamar, along with other Jedi masters such as Vandar Tokare, takes players on their mission to save the galaxy. Knowing that the player is Revan, Vrook is skeptical of the former dark lord and initially refuses, unlike other council members, to retrain him as a Jedi.

While Vrook is a staunch Jedi and Light Side user, he fears the Dark Side and advises the player character on the Dark Side of the force. A powerful force wielder, Vrook is known for his green lightsaber and his knowledge of advanced techniques. Vrook later appeared in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.

Juhani, found in the Dantooine Grove, is a former Jedi who turned to the Dark Side after the death of her master. By dueling and defeating Juhani, players must decide whether to kill her or save her. If players decide to save her, the Dantooine Jedi Council redeems her, becoming a prominent but powerful ally on the player’s team.

A powerful lightsaber duelist, force user, and master of both the light and dark sides, Revan is the true balance of the force, able to wield both sides in combat.

Although Revan was a famous and powerful Sith lord, he was as powerful as a Jedi and defeated Malak during the endgame.
