At least that used to be true. Nowadays, many of these exclusive titles end up coming to Steam so that an even wider audience can enjoy them.
If you’re a PC gamer dipping into the PlayStation library, here’s our pick of the best.
10
Final Fantasy VII
He is loved for a reason
the original Final Fantasy VII It was a PlayStation exclusive for a long time and came out in Sony’s humble gray box in 1997.
The title is still a turn-based masterpiece and a phenomenal role-playing game. The PC version has been out for quite some time, but it’s easily one of the best ways to enjoy the plight of Cloud and his friends.
Sephiroth is an exceptional villain, even with the The primitive graphics of the original. The title is alsolight on complex mechanicsmaking it ideal for newcomers to RPGs.
The original came on three discs on the PS1. That’s nonsense you won’t have to worry about on Steam.

Until dawn
Watch a chilling horror story unfold
Until dawn was exclusive to PlayStation 4 and will be released on Steam in October 2024. This chilling horror title is largely story-driven and you play a supervisory role over a group of teenagers stranded on a mountain ranch in the middle of nowhere. .
What are you doing? Until dawn so special is his approach to storytelling. Your choices have consequencesincluding the death of playable characters. Your game could end completely differently than mine, and there’s a lot of replayability as you explore alternative endings.
Until dawn allows you heal your own horror story in a way you won’t find in many other games. This is easily one of the best PS Plus horror games and a solid addition to the Steam library.

god of war
Kratos at his best
the latest god of war The titles are mature masterpieces with interesting stories, Stunning visuals and visceral combat.. Kratos’ relationship with his son, Atreus, is wonderfully imagined and the pacing is perfect. If you are even the least bit interested in norse mythologyYou’ll love the frequent nods to the source material.
Even if you prefer the angry Kratos from the original god of war trilogy, there’s a lot to love in the new games.
god of war and its sequel, ragnarökthey are worth it. Both are available on Steam, but I recommend starting with the original, as ragnarök is set three years later.
7
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
High budget 3D platforms
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart it’s a imaginative 3D platform game with stunning images and settings. Separate It came out for PlayStation 5 in 2021 and is easily one of the best platformers on the system.
The quality bar of Ratchet and clank The series is incredibly tall, and Separate is among the best. The controls are wonderfully precise and there are countless ridiculous weapons to play.
Unfortunately, Separate is the only one Ratchet and clank Game available on Steam. Hopefully this will change in the future, but if PC players can only have one game, Crack apartIt’s a great choice.

the last of us
A beautiful and bleak post-apocalyptic adventure
the last of us is a masterpiece based on a story from the wizards at Naughty Dog. You follow the story of Joel and Ellie as they fight to survive in a gloomy and post-apocalyptic future.
The world is full of people forced to do horrible things and the last of us It will test your morality and shooting skills. there is a good dose of stealth game and incredible scenes that elevate the last of us to the next level.
The last of us 2 is technically superior to its predecessor, but it’s one of those rare games where you simply have to play the original first. The story beats will lack impact if you start with TLOU2and TLOU1 It’s a fantastic game in its own right.
5
Return
Brilliant and brutally difficult
Return It was one of the first titles that sparked my interest in the PlayStation 5 console since it is high budget Roguelitea combo we rarely see.
Returns Roguelite’s roots mean the game has procedurally generated Random maps and enemies, and when you die, you go back to the beginning. it’s a punishment game loop but tremendously satisfying as you get closer to your first victory.
The title offers amazing science fiction images for PC, complete with creepy aliens and dramatic environments.
Return It’s possibly the most polarizing game on the list, thanks to its brutal difficulty. If you’re ready to crack your knuckles and dive into a game you won’t conquer right away, it’s worth checking out.
4
Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales
A new standard for Marvel games
Marvel games are a mixed bag, but Spider-Man Miles Morales It’s easily one of the best. Miles Morales originally was a PlayStation 5 launch title and made its debut on Steam in late 2022.
Webslinging around the city feels perfect in Miles Moralesand it’s an exciting way to traverse the open world. There is never a dull moment in combat either. Fighting groups of bad guys in the open is exciting, but you can always take a stealth approach, which is very rewarding when everything works.
Spider-Man Miles Morales It is an exceptional game, but I recommend starting with Spider-Man remasteredsince Miles Morales is a direct sequel.
3
Ghost of Tsushima
Die by the sword
Ghost of Tsushima It was exclusive to PlayStation until Director’s Cut came to Steam in May 2024.
Sucker Punch Productions outdid themselves with this incredible cinematic adventure. Ghost of Tsushima features some of the most artistic and amazing images on the market, and the combat is exceptionally satisfying. There’s a rich open world to explore, and the guiding wind mechanic (gusts of wind transport you to objects) is a great way to reveal secrets and collectibles to the player.
With the announcement of a sequel, Yotei Ghostin 2025, now is the perfect time to try it. Ghost of Tsushima.
2
Yakuza Kiwami
The best place to start your Yakuza journey
I stopped at the yakuza games for a long time because I wanted to start with the first title but I didn’t have a PS2 at the time. Yakuza Kiwami It’s a fantastic remake of the first game and was exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
There’s no better entry for newcomers to the franchise, and it’s a fantastic introduction to Kiryuthe beloved protagonist of the series. Yakuza Kiwami is a story-driven role-playing game with flashy action combat and a cast of unforgettable characters.
There’s a reason Yakuza games have survived the test of time for almost two decades. Is it’s never too late to startand if you’re on a PC, Kiwami is your gateway to the franchise.
1
Final Fantasy XVI
It’s never really the final, right?
Final Fantasy XVI is the second game in the series to make the list, but it is very different from VII which deserves a mention. We’ve swapped turn-based combat for fast-paced live battles. We’ve also swapped out the old-school visuals for some of the most glorious cutting-edge graphics on the market.
XVI It plays quite differently than other games in the franchise, but the high fantasy setting is exceptionaland there is an immense amount of polishing.
While you technically have multiple characters following you, This is Clive’s journey.and is the only playable hero. This feature may seem out of place in an RPG, but it makes the story seem more meaningful and the events more impactful.
Final Fantasy XIV is a “must have” game for RPG fans and is a great entry point into the series if you’ve never played.
