The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) has periodically announced vacancies for the post of Junior Assistant. A total of 29 seats are available, spread across different categories: 9 for Unreserved Candidates (UR), 4 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 2 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 8 for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and 3 for Sections Economically Weaker (EWS). In addition, 3 seats are reserved for people with baseline disabilities (PwBD) in the categories of visual impairment and locomotor disability.
The salary level for this position is set at Level 02 of the salary matrix, offering a salary range between ₹19,900 and ₹63,200. Applicants from any category can apply for positions reserved for PwBD as long as they meet specific disability criteria. Qualification for UCMS Recruitment 2024
A Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/University/Institution. Have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. Writing through computers.
UCMS Recruitment Fees 2024
Application fees must be paid online (by completing and submitting the application form as per the details given below:
- The application fee payable is Rs 500/- for UR/OBC/EWS category.
- No application fee will be charged for SC, ST, PwBD and female applicants.
- Applications with incomplete information or without required payment will be rejected.
- Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
General instructions for UCMS 2024 recruitment
- Reservation for applicants of SC, ST, EWS, OBC (non-creamy layer) and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) categories will be applicable as per UGC/Central Government norms. Applicants seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD categories are required to upload necessary documents substantiating the claim for respective reservation as per the Government. of Indian lists/rules/norms.
- The uploaded certificate must be in the format prescribed by the Union Government. In case the applicant wishes to claim benefits under the PwBD category, the relevant disability of the applicant should not be less than 40 per cent. Proof to this effect in the form of a valid Disability Certificate must be attached to the application.
- Applicants applying for OBC reserved posts are required to upload OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority. The certificate must be from the current fiscal year, in accordance with the instructions issued periodically in this regard by the Government of the Union.
- Applicants must ensure that they belong to the reserved categories (castes) enrolled in the Central List for Other Backward Classes.
- Applicants applying for the seat reserved for EWS are required to upload their EWS status certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority.
- The certificate must be from the current fiscal year. As per DoP&T OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res), dated 31.01.2019, the crucial date for the candidate to submit income and assets certificate is the last date for receipt of application for the post, except in cases where the date is otherwise fixed.
- If the relevant certificates for the respective reserved categories are not uploaded with the application, the application may be rejected and no appeal against its rejection will be admissible.
